Birthday done right!

After seeing how hot the weather is, not sure if it’s right to ask, “Are you enjoying summer?” But hey, even this season has it’s own perks.

Summer babies like Linnet love it because its her birthday season and she gets to wear the best of birthday dresses. Whilst we are on birthdays, we also noticed each year excitement for birthday celebration is decreasing. Each year people who are excited for our birthdays are also decreasing. "People come and go; no matter how close you think they are to you, people will still go if they have to" (just a little Pooja insight here). 

Nevertheless, birthdays are always special and what better way to celebrate her birthday by doing things we both love? Well, Linnet started her day by attending Sunday service at the church and later had an exciting birthday shoot! All thanks to Bewakoof!

For this post we both wore contrasting colours which would actually look very good with each other as a colour – block option. Linnet choose to wear a casual t-shirt dress which is light and comfortable for summers. On the other hand, Pooja wore a crop top with an embellished pair of jeans from Estrolo.

We wanted to keep our looks light and spunky so we both added white sneakers to our outfits. Keeping it minimal we went sans accessories.

Winter Lookbook

Baby it’s cold. Well, not really!

But I am sure people who love playing dress up and get really excited with the change in weather. Everyone likes to dress according to season, right? But before it gets really cold in Mumbai (we can always hope), here are a few fun casual outfits that you can try this winter.

Who doesn’t like pretty knits? Take out your cute sweatshirts and crop sweaters and team it with your favourite pair of jeans! You can also try over sized sweater and stockings for that edgy look or if you want to master the supermodel casual look, wear crop sweaters with your sweatpants or leggings.

For a dressier affair, you just cannot go wrong with velvet and layers this season. Layer your tops with jackets made of flowing material to give it an elegant look. Play with colours, prints and patterns as per your comfort. You don’t always need to go with blue, black or grey just because it’s winter!

Also, velvet is something that has been in trend on-off for centuries. I remember wearing this top and skirt set when I was a child. Every woman owned something in velvet at least once? Now, give your velvets a twist. Instead of wearing typical gowns or fitted dresses, go for more androgynous looks. Wear loose velvet tops with boots or heels. Or pair a simple velvet top with some bling (like I have done here).

Bidding summer goodbye with shades of blue

Heyyy Readers,

It has been quite a while since we updated the blog and we have started to realize that we should be more regular with the posts. So, keeping this realization alive we are here with a new post. Since the climate has been so hot and humid these days and after the pre-monsoon shower it looks like monsoon can visit us anytime, we decided to bid summer a goodbye and welcome monsoon with ‘Shades of Blue’.

 

POOJA

Pooja wore a simple plain Navy blue dress from Stalk Buy Love which has a cute white pattern around the neckline. She paired her dress with a black sling bag, again from Stalk Buy Love along with black slip – on’s which she randomly picked up from a local shoe store. To keep the look subtle yet a little messy she tied her hair into a loose messy braid. She completes her entire look with a pair of customized nerdy glasses which are purely for fashion/powerless glasses.

 

  

 

 

LINNET

Linnet on the other hand wore a grey tank top paired with a lace blue high waist midi-skirt from Stalk Buy Love. She lets her hair open as it adds a little oomph and volume to the outfit. She keeps her attire more on the sporty chic side by wearing white sneakers.
