Chambray… We love!

Hello Everybody!
So we are talking about chambray here. Now, Chambray is something which looks like denim but is not actually denim! Why we love Chambray so much? It is extremely comfortable, very soft, and a trend that can be worn from summer to fall. You can wear your Chambray with any color or print. As a top, a dress, as a shirt (which we feel is the most popular as well as very versatile).

We tried to show you all a few ways Chambray shirt can be worn. Here I am wearing the shirt with a black mini and animal print shoes. I have tied a knot which gives a look of a crop top. This look can be worn as a day to night look. You can tuck in the shirt when you are at work. And jazz up your look by tying it. Also, add those sky high heels to turn heads around. I have also added a touch of white through my eye make-up as it compliments my silver accessories. I am also wearing a DIY collar cuff made of earrings and a silver chain.

Pooja is wearing a casual look which is a personal favorite for many. She has worn her Chambray shirt in many different ways. She wore a white top again which is tied giving it a crop top look. The awesome part about her outfit is that her jeans are stitched. Now finding the perfect pair of jeans is one of the biggest problems in a woman’s life. We have always been struggling with our sizes. Getting our jeans stitched is one of the best ways to get the desired fit! She went the opposite of me by choosing gold accessories and beige ballerinas.

Chambray is one thing you can bet on when you have nothing to wear. We would love to hear it from you all about the looks. Please do comment about your chambray love too. Keep street shopping! Also do not forget to follow us on Instagram.

Prints and all things fancy!

Hey everyone!

This is something about which we are excited. I know I am posting this a little late, this happened because we were too busy with interviews and exams and ofcourse, Rains!

So this is about my dear friend Amrit who has this wonderful idea of starting a new venture of Makeovers. Basically his idea is to change a person’s image for a specific occasion. Be it a wedding or a party or your honeymoon. His venture will provide you a package which will include grooming from tip to toe. And this grooming would include your hair care, clothes and accessories. Beauty routines like facials, makeup, pedicure, manicure, nail styling etc, this is for both men and women. We really thought it was a great initiative and hence I took the challenge of getting a basic makeover. Though it was a risk but all should encourage such creative ideas, right?

I had my convocation coming soon. As every student, even I was very excited for it. It was a big day for me. Instead of styling myself I gave Amrit this opportunity. So he started with a little bit of research which included my likes and dislikes, my comfort zone and my body type.

Knowing that I am of a very thin frame he checked the latest trends and took me shopping. He thought a crop top and high waist jeans would be perfect for me. After a lot of running around we finally got what we wanted. The next day, my nail art sessions and hair care sessions started off. This included nail extensions, pretty nail art and meeting a hair expert. We also went to an optician for lenses. Now people who know me also know I have never worn lenses all my life. So this was the biggest change for me.

So on my convocation day, I wore a striped crop top with high waist jeans, a baby pink jacket which has polka dots on it and black peep toes. With short hair and my curls even more defined I was given subtle makeup. My eyes were highlighted, giving a smoky look which is my personal favorite. And I even wore lenses for the first time. A white top handle bag finished my look. I was totally in love with this effortless ensemble I was wearing.  It was comfortable and it made me look sexy as well as casual at the same time.

Do support our friend with his venture and if you are interested in getting a makeover and dazzle your loved ones contact him through Facebook. Or you can even contact us by commenting on this post or send a DM on our Instagram  page. Happy Shopping!

Not soo corporate!

Hello everyone!

Rains has its pros and cons. Now when everybody is enjoying the festive season and showers all day and night, Pooja and me are dying to have a shoot. But not that we are not loving the season, but there is so much to share. Anyways, too much cribbing happened over rains.

But now that we do have something to share with you all... Lets do it! So I have been giving dozens of interviews and everywhere they ask me to come in strict formals otherwise they would not take my interview. And... I don't have strict formals. Days went crazy struggling almost everyday thinking what to wear. But then I came across with this term Business Casuals. Such a life saviour it is.

If you are not very comfortable with formals, business casuals is a thing for you. It allows you to experiment with colours and patterns. So we want to share a few stuff we love and a little do's and don'ts about it.

  1. Tops and Shirts - Printed or plain, women have a lot of options in this department. Neutrals are always a safe option. Prints like stipes or floral with tiny  motifs are pleasing to the eyes. Your shirt can be un-tucked and patterns like ruffles add a touch of elegance.Gaudy colours or wild prints can be an eyesore.
  2. Blazers - Now as the outfits mostly follow a monochromatic colour scheme, blazers can add a pop of colour to the otherwise boring outfit. Prefer structured blazers. Choose solid colours like maroon, blue or grey. Women can also wear pastels, provided the outfit doesnt have more colours. Do not wear over-sized blazers or coats, you don't want to look out of place, yea?
  3. Skirts - You cannot go wrong with pencil skirts when it comes to wearing them at the office. Make sure your skirts are knee lenght or below the knee. Prints, lace, or just pleated, there are feminine and chic. You can also wear the flared one's but dont forget the norms.
  4. Belts and Accessories - Belts are like a necessity. Wear your belts to accentuate your waist, over a high waist skirt or with trouser. Belts complete the look. When it comes to accessories pearls are an epitome of class! You can also wear a simple long chain with your pants and blouse.Try not to wear chunky jewellery or too much of bling.
  5. Dresses - For a meeting, at a business party or for everyday office, dresses are stylish and comfortable. Do keep in mind the corporate rules that the dress should not be very short and too fitted. Accessorize them with dainty jewellery, stilettos and a bright coloured blazer or cardigan. Use colours like peach, grey, teal for freshness.
  6. Scarfs - They are pretty and go with almost every outfit. Scarfs are for both summer and winter. You can experiment with them by tying them in whichever way you are comfortable. They add that bit of chripy-ness to an outfit.
