A DAY WITH RAAIKA

Warm greetings from us to you'll.

Hope everyone is in great health and doing well in their respective lives.
It's been a while since we are MIA from the blogging world and that is because we needed to calm down a bit to sort ourselves and everything happening in our life but then we gotta do what we love doing and so, here we are.

Let's get to the main content of this post. Recently, we were approached by this newly launched clothing brand named RAAIKA (https://www.raaika.com/) which has a variety in sections like Tops, Dresses, Jumpsuits etc. From the vast choices that we were given we selected the "Ruffles on my mind top" and "The Plain Jane Dress"

POOJA
Pooja opted for the "Ruffles on my mind top" which she styled with a pair of blue high-waist jeans and black pumps.

LINNET
Linnet ,on the other hand chose "The Plain Jane Dress" which she paired with ankle strap heels and chained golden earrings.

Because she deserves the BEST!

I am sure everyone is gearing up for Valentine’s Day?  Now you might wonder, why did I start with that line? You might also think you don’t have a girlfriend, or just don’t believe in Valentine’s Day. But as a child, I was once told by my teacher that Valentine’s Day is not celebrated only by couples. It is a celebration of love! It can be celebrated between parents and their children, siblings, teacher and students, children and grandparents and I think even pets and their owners!   This has been in my mind since then and I have made sure that I wish everyone I truly love on this day. Also, I feel there’s no better day to make a woman happy.

So today’s post is for all the men out there, gift your significant other something special this Valentine’s and make their day.  As we were planning a post on Valentine’s Day gifts, we came across Monisha Jaising’s latest collection “Cruise by Monisha Jaising”. Along with her latest resort wear collection, she also has an amazing collection of Luxe Sportswear.  This collection comprises of smart, effortlessly chic and is ready to wear.

From her Luxe Sportswear collection, we got our hands on this beautiful maroon t-shirt dress with exquisite crown motif.  This dress had the vibes of a perfect day dress with a hint of luxurious elegance. It is super comfortable and I could imagine women of any age wearing this.

So if you are thinking to gift your beloved something that is comfortable and yet is an absolute show stopper, Monisha Jaising’s Luxe Sportswear is your answer. Because she, DESERVES THE BEST!

This collection is available in stores and online. You can check their collection from Monisha Jaising Luxe Sportswear

Love for Long and Flowy

Hello everyone,

Hope you all are having an amazing day. So, this is a small effort that we are taking to try and build more content on the blog. Like many of you know, I am working and it’s a little difficult for Pooja and to keep coming up with content together. Don’t worry we are not splitting!

But for now, be it collaborations or personal style choices, we have decided to post as many posts as possible. So that means, sometimes you all will see just one of us on the blog.

So let me start with my first solo, by sharing my love for long flowing tops. Everyone’s fallen trap (in a good way) to the trend of wearing long tops with high slits. It’s super flattering and makes a woman look curvy and sexy. This trend is still something that entices me but I wanted to try variations in cuts and style.

I got this top from Max Fashion within Lifestyle whilst I was shopping for my sister’s wedding during Diwali last year. Its fit was perfect and I loved the way it flowed on my body. The A – line top is actually a kurta that can be worn as a shirt dress, long top or a kurta! This is one thing I love about such tops!

In this post, I am sharing 2 looks using the same kurta. One is with an Indian touch and the other is bold and bohemian.

For the Indian look, I am wearing jeans instead of leggings or churidar because I personally feel kurta’s look amazing with jeans. It just gives your body that extra lift.

In my second look, I am wearing the same kurta as a shirt dress (the buttons don’t open; otherwise I could use it as a jacket too). I paired it with a leather jacket and boots.

I am planning to create more such content with personal style choices. Please feel free to let me know your suggestions regarding this.

See you soon.

Winter Lookbook

Baby it’s cold. Well, not really!

But I am sure people who love playing dress up and get really excited with the change in weather. Everyone likes to dress according to season, right? But before it gets really cold in Mumbai (we can always hope), here are a few fun casual outfits that you can try this winter.

Who doesn’t like pretty knits? Take out your cute sweatshirts and crop sweaters and team it with your favourite pair of jeans! You can also try over sized sweater and stockings for that edgy look or if you want to master the supermodel casual look, wear crop sweaters with your sweatpants or leggings.

For a dressier affair, you just cannot go wrong with velvet and layers this season. Layer your tops with jackets made of flowing material to give it an elegant look. Play with colours, prints and patterns as per your comfort. You don’t always need to go with blue, black or grey just because it’s winter!

Also, velvet is something that has been in trend on-off for centuries. I remember wearing this top and skirt set when I was a child. Every woman owned something in velvet at least once? Now, give your velvets a twist. Instead of wearing typical gowns or fitted dresses, go for more androgynous looks. Wear loose velvet tops with boots or heels. Or pair a simple velvet top with some bling (like I have done here).

Hope you like our posts. Bybyee!
