Happy Endings

Hi Everyone, 

This is one of the most random shoots we did. Wonder if this happens with others too? Nothing happens according to your plan but still the outcome is amazing! 

The location decided for this shoot suddenly had some issues,it’s annoying but you really can’t do much about it. So, we decided to have lunch at a restaurant and head home. Although the decision was made, restless minds just won’t let us give up. We all were in two minds, everyone wished to shoot but there was no location. 

But like we all say, “Where there's a will there's a way”. Our photographer knew this garden near an industrial area (shady place I must say). We didn’t know if it was even right to trespass a random place. What if they don’t allow? What if there’s a scene created? It is so scary to do something like that!

All we could do is hope there is no mess. So we reached the location and saw it was pretty decent place with lush green grass and good light. But no one dared to start. Seeing Pooja’s and mine worried faces, our photographer spoke to the security and somehow convinced him for the shoot.Without further ado, we started SHOOTING!!! We got some really good shots as the lighting and background was perfect. Apart from the gardeners working, we had nobody to disturb us. Even the society guys had no issues. We had an amazing shoot and were so happy that it ended well. Thanks to the people working in the garden to be so patient with us.

Talking about the post now, we were shooting for a brand that creates beautiful custom made footwear - PAIO. When they spoke to us they showed us a few samples. Their shoes were perfect. They were so neatly cut and so comfortable.
Pooja decided to go with Platform shoes in tan which are so much in trend now and Linnet decided to go ahead with Mules- not seen many wearing Mules here so she was a bit skeptical about the customisation. The team at PIAO assured us they would be perfect. In fact, they were sweet enough to help us select the colour and the material.

We also are wearing one of our favourite brand – Stalk Buy Love.
Pooja opted for jeans and a brown fringed bag to match her PAIO shoes. Her denim and bag are from Stalk Buy Love.

Linnet decided to wear a suede button down skirt from Stak Buy Love with PIAO mules. The skirt again is from Stalk Buy Love.

Stalk Buy Love has always had some amazing stuff out there. Their dresses are so unique and the fit is perfect.

Bidding summer goodbye with shades of blue

Heyyy Readers,

It has been quite a while since we updated the blog and we have started to realize that we should be more regular with the posts. So, keeping this realization alive we are here with a new post. Since the climate has been so hot and humid these days and after the pre-monsoon shower it looks like monsoon can visit us anytime, we decided to bid summer a goodbye and welcome monsoon with ‘Shades of Blue’.

 

POOJA

Pooja wore a simple plain Navy blue dress from Stalk Buy Love which has a cute white pattern around the neckline. She paired her dress with a black sling bag, again from Stalk Buy Love along with black slip – on’s which she randomly picked up from a local shoe store. To keep the look subtle yet a little messy she tied her hair into a loose messy braid. She completes her entire look with a pair of customized nerdy glasses which are purely for fashion/powerless glasses.

 

  

 

 

LINNET

Linnet on the other hand wore a grey tank top paired with a lace blue high waist midi-skirt from Stalk Buy Love. She lets her hair open as it adds a little oomph and volume to the outfit. She keeps her attire more on the sporty chic side by wearing white sneakers.

When Vogue meets Vogue

Hey! Hey! Hey! 

Yet another day where we got to do something we love. 

So our photographers love Aaray Colony and keep insisting on going there for a shoot. Though I am a sucker for scenic locations I am lazy when it comes to travelling. Finally I listen to them and we head towards Aaray. 

 

I woke up with a heavy head that morning but the beautiful and mysterious roads of Aaray blew my mind. Pooja was excited too, as the roads looked like those typical Bollywood scenes where the actors would romance with each other. 

Talking about our outfits now, we decided to wear our super comfortable and stylish pieces from Vogue and Me for this shoot.

 Pooja wore a box pleated skirt from their collection and paired it with a simple blue top. She carries a beautiful white Lotus giving her outfit a feminine touch.She added closed toed wedges with floral details on it.  Lately Pooja has been wearing a lot of monotones. She loves playing with shades of blue and red (This is what I have noticed).

I selected this LBD from their collection which has #OOTN printed on it. I loved how easy the entire look of the dress was. I could imagine wearing this shift dress almost every day! The cuts are so clean and perfect for a day to night look. I paired them with my new slip on’s that I purchased from KOOVS. 

After all the cow dung’s and mosquito bites, we managed to get some beautiful shots at Aaray. I am sure our photographers are happy now.  :)

Perception

Every individual is different and so is their sense of style.  We see so many people wearing similar clothes, but how you add a touch of your personal style makes the outfit a hit.

 

For this blog, we thought of experimenting with our post, where we tried to style one outfit in two different ways. Basically, to show how Pooja and I might see the same outfit in different ways and for different occasions.

 

Pooja wore a checkered dress with her favorite glasses and converse for a very sporty high street look. She could imagine wearing this for a fun day out with her girlfriends. On the other hand, my perception of this dress was something I could wear to work on a cold winter day.  (These geeky glasses are not for fashion, they are my spare spectacles. I don’t like them much).

 

We also wore the very famous long slit top that we can’t get enough of. The minute houndstooth details on the on the top that gave it a beautiful pattern and flow. Pooja choose various shades of blue to style this top and went heavy on accessories. She chooses earrings from Circuzz and neck accessories from Funk &Co. to add glamour to her outfit.

I could see this top more like walking on the streets LA with minimum statement accessories and perfect heels to go with. I choose these beautiful turquoise earrings and a delicate chain with crystals inside (which I thought was a very unique design).  Paired my metallic pumps with these and was ready to hit the streets of LA (LOL! Someday).
