Winter Lookbook

Baby it’s cold. Well, not really!

But I am sure people who love playing dress up and get really excited with the change in weather. Everyone likes to dress according to season, right? But before it gets really cold in Mumbai (we can always hope), here are a few fun casual outfits that you can try this winter.

Who doesn’t like pretty knits? Take out your cute sweatshirts and crop sweaters and team it with your favourite pair of jeans! You can also try over sized sweater and stockings for that edgy look or if you want to master the supermodel casual look, wear crop sweaters with your sweatpants or leggings.

For a dressier affair, you just cannot go wrong with velvet and layers this season. Layer your tops with jackets made of flowing material to give it an elegant look. Play with colours, prints and patterns as per your comfort. You don’t always need to go with blue, black or grey just because it’s winter!

Also, velvet is something that has been in trend on-off for centuries. I remember wearing this top and skirt set when I was a child. Every woman owned something in velvet at least once? Now, give your velvets a twist. Instead of wearing typical gowns or fitted dresses, go for more androgynous looks. Wear loose velvet tops with boots or heels. Or pair a simple velvet top with some bling (like I have done here).

Hope you like our posts. Bybyee!

Happy Endings

Hi Everyone,
This is one of the most random shoots we did. Wonder if this happens with others too? Nothing happens according to your plan but still the outcome is amazing!
The location decided for this shoot suddenly had some issues,it’s annoying but you really can’t do much about it. So, we decided to have lunch at a restaurant and head home. Although the decision was made, restless minds just won’t let us give up. We all were in two minds, everyone wished to shoot but there was no location.

But like we all say, “Where there's a will there's a way”. Our photographer knew this garden near an industrial area (shady place I must say). We didn’t know if it was even right to trespass a random place. What if they don’t allow? What if there’s a scene created? It is so scary to do something like that!
All we could do is hope there is no mess. So we reached the location and saw it was pretty decent place with lush green grass and good light. But no one dared to start. Seeing Pooja’s and mine worried faces, our photographer spoke to the security and somehow convinced him for the shoot.Without further ado, we started SHOOTING!!! We got some really good shots as the lighting and background was perfect. Apart from the gardeners working, we had nobody to disturb us. Even the society guys had no issues. We had an amazing shoot and were so happy that it ended well. Thanks to the people working in the garden to be so patient with us.

Talking about the post now, we were shooting for a brand that creates beautiful custom made footwear - PAIO. When they spoke to us they showed us a few samples. Their shoes were perfect. They were so neatly cut and so comfortable.
Pooja decided to go with Platform shoes in tan which are so much in trend now and Linnet decided to go ahead with Mules- not seen many wearing Mules here so she was a bit skeptical about the customisation. The team at PIAO assured us they would be perfect. In fact, they were sweet enough to help us select the colour and the material.

We also are wearing one of our favourite brand – Stalk Buy Love.
Pooja opted for jeans and a brown fringed bag to match her PAIO shoes. Her denim and bag are from Stalk Buy Love.

Linnet decided to wear a suede button down skirt from Stak Buy Love with PIAO mules. The skirt again is from Stalk Buy Love.

Stalk Buy Love has always had some amazing stuff out there. Their dresses are so unique and the fit is perfect.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post. If you have comments and suggestions like always please mention below. We’d love to know what you guys feel about our work.

Stay Beautiful you all.

DEAL with it

Hey everyone,

How have you all been? I wonder if everyone is enjoying monsoons. Pooja loves rains and on the other hand I hate them. I think that is one of the best part about having your best friend as your blogging partner. We always have two extremely different opinions.

This time we received a parcel from Deal. I am sure many have heard about this brand. They have some amazing denim collection. But having a conversation with them over emails, we realised they had a very good collection of tops as well. You can find their collection on Myntra. We chose our tops and paired them with pencil skirts.

As usual, Pooja and I had two different ideas to style them. Pooja opted for a brighter look by adding a red pencil skirt from Stalk Buy Love. This look is perfect for a beautiful evening during your getaway. She paired them with black heels. Her knotted top can be worn with shorts as well for bohemian look.

I wore my "Perfect Princess" top with a faux leather skirt which i recently bought from Koovs. I was going crazy over the sale they had! The top did make me feel like a city princess. I was thinking of a day to night look. I think such outfits can be worn at your work place as well! Swap the metallic shoes with black pumps and you are set to turn heads at your work place.

We are totally obsessing over pencil skirts these days. People might think they are not very comfortable but trust us, it can be dressed up or down effortlessly.

Hope you guys enjoyed our new post. Do let us know in our comments sections about what you feel about this post and if any new suggestions, we would love to try them.

Bye for now.
